The Joust Blog

Experience history in the making with Josh Healey.

We have all ways heard of legends of knights duelling on the battlefield, but the Royal Norfolk Show brought it to life with a joust between the duke of Worcester and the duke of Warrick.

This tournament was to prove the tougher knight and county and showed the crowd a visual display of power and skill, after a number of bouts of jousts, both knights lances disintegrated on impact.

After the jousting competition crowds were wowed further by horse riders performing daring tricks and acrobatics on horseback, with the horse riders rising backwards, hanging upside down and sideways which was exciting and enthralling for families and children to see.

The performers were very talented at what they do as one small mistake could ruin the show or the performers life’s as failing these stunts would result in serious injury.

People cheered as they left the ring and they where all very flatted by the praise.
