Wednesday 10.30am and Thursday 12.30pm: Chet Valley Vineyard and Fen Farm Dairy

Chet Valley Vineyard

With over ten hectares of vines at Bergh Apton, just south of Norwich, Chet Valley Vineyard is one of the longest-established winemakers in Norfolk. Two-thirds of its production is traditional method sparkling, with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier all featuring in the mix. The vineyard also produces still white, rosé and red wines from a variety of grapes including Solaris, Schönbürger, Cabernet Noir and Phoenix.


Fen Farm Dairy

Home to the nationally-renowned Baron Bigod cheese, Fen Farm Dairy has a herd of Montbéliarde cows grazing the fertile marshland of the Waveney Valley.  Alongside the Brie-de-Meaux style Baron Bigod, the dairy’s most recent cheese is Raedwald, their take on a traditional French Reblochon.


Wednesday 11.30am and Thursday 1.30pm: Burn Valley Vineyard and Wilton Farm

Burn Valley Vineyard

Planted in 2015, Burn Valley Vineyard in North Creake has built a reputation as one of the county’s leading winemakers, producing a wide variety of still and sparkling wines, as well as white and red vermouth and a late harvest dessert wine. Situated four miles from the north Norfolk coast, the site is south facing, on a flinty soil with a chalk base.


Wilton Farm

Home of White Lady and Wissington, Wilton Farm has been in the Enefer family for four generations and is the county’s leading producer of sheeps’ milk cheeses.  The cheese is handmade in small batches; Wissington is a Manchego-styled hard cheese, whilst White Lady is a creamy white brie-style cheese, which develops complex flavours as it ages.


Wednesday 12.30pm and Thursday 2.30pm: Flint Vineyard and Mrs Temple’s Cheese

Flint Vineyard

Situated in Earsham near Bungay, Flint Vineyard makes wine renowned for their precision, complexity and pioneering spirit.  From its category-defying Charmat-method sparkling wines through white wines made from Bacchus and Chardonnay, through the complex blended Silex white wine to its expressive Précoce red wine, Flint wines are about balance, purity and flavour.


Mrs Temple’s Cheese

Based at Wighton in north Norfolk, the multi award-winning Mrs Temple’s Cheese requires little introduction for anyone remotely interested in the county’s cheesemakers.  With a range which includes Binham Blue, the soft Copys Cloud, the rind-washed Gurney’s Gold and the continental style Wells Alpine, no Norfolk cheeseboard is complete without at least one of Catherine Temple’s creations.


Wednesday 1.30pm and Thursday 10.30am: Cobble Hill Vineyard and Norton’s Dairy

Cobble Hill Vineyard

With around 17,000 vines on a 3.6 hectare south-facing slope not far from the north Norfolk coast near Burnham Market, Cobble hill Vineyard was planted in 2016.  The winery makes still white wines from Bacchus and Chardonnay, a still rosé from Pinot Noir, and three traditional method sparkling wines – two white and one rosé – from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.


Norton’s Dairy

Made from the farm’s own Brown Swiss cows, Norton’s Dairy produces a renowned soft cheese, which is then presented in a number of natural and flavoured variations, including chilli, apricot, black pepper and chive, and even lavender.  The farm, at Frettenham just north of Norwich, has been in the family since 1946.


Wednesday 2.30pm and Thursday 11.30am: Winbirri Vineyard and The Goat Shed

Winbirri Vineyard

Located at Surlingham, six miles east of Norwich, Winbirri is one of the best-known of the county’s vineyards, having won the ‘Best Single Varietal White Wine in the World’ at the 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards for its Bacchus white wine. The winery makes a range of white, rosé and red wines, as well as three traditional method sparkling wines.


The Goat Shed

Norfolk’s leading producer of goats’ milk cheese, The Goat Shed, situated at Honingham, has been making cheese since 2009. It produces Norfolk Mardler, a creamy, firm waxed cheese which is matured for eight weeks, and Wensum White, a white-rinded creamy brie style goats’ milk cheese. The dairy offers cheese-making courses for those wanting a unique immersive experience.


Wednesday 3.30pm and Thursday 3.30pm: Sparkling Norfolk

The county’s leading five vineyards each showcase one of their sparkling wines in a suitably festive conclusion to the theatre’s programme on each day.
