Located at the heart of the Royal Norfolk Show, this much-loved area brings together schools, clubs, societies, public gardens, professional landscapers and floral artists to celebrate gardening in all its forms.

Small Garden Competition

Open to clubs, societies, and public gardens, this competition invites participants to design compact garden spaces that express their group’s unique identity, mission, or horticultural interests. Rather than adhering to a set theme, each garden is encouraged to tell its own story through thoughtful planting, creative design, and engaging interpretation. All gardens will be displayed outdoors.

Show Gardens

Designed by professional gardeners, landscapers, and horticultural companies, these large-scale gardens demonstrate technical excellence, creative vision and horticultural innovation. Expect bold design statements, mature planting and immersive storytelling, all crafted to inspire and impress.

Floral Art Classes

Step into a world of floral artistry. Within the marquee, individuals and groups showcase breathtaking arrangements across a variety of classes ranging from traditional to contemporary and beginner to advanced. Each exhibit celebrates form, colour and imagination. The 2026 theme is ‘A Musical Symphony’, with a special open-to-all class inviting entries displayed in a teapot titled ‘Tea for Two’.


Norfolk & Norwich Horticultural Society Summer Show

A cornerstone of the Garden Village, this judged show features cut flowers, pot plants, vegetables, fruit, and floral art. Open to all, it celebrates excellence in cultivation and presentation, with classes for beginners and experienced growers alike.

School Garden Competition (Open to Schools)

Norfolk’s schools design and build themed gardens that reflect creativity, teamwork, and environmental awareness. These living classrooms are judged on design, planting and interpretation. Offering a joyful glimpse into the next generation of horticultural talent.

School Growing Competition (Open to Schools)

A celebration of seasonal growing and hands-on learning. Schools cultivate vegetables, herbs and flowers from seed, presenting their produce and growing journeys in imaginative displays that highlight sustainability and care.
